What is a SkegShield® Skeg Protector?

A SkegShield protects your skeg from lake bed rocks, boat ramps, reefs, coral and submerged floating debris.
It can also be used to repair a damaged skeg, simply fit over the existing damage. Even if only 50mm of the original Skeg is left you can fit a Skegshield as a replacement Skeg.
Made from high quality Polished Marine Grade Stainless Steel which is twice as strong as an OEM skeg.
No welding required, no epoxies, it's an easy do-it-yourself 10 minute application.
Does not affect performance and protects your prop.
Has a drain hole for when motor is not tilted (storage/boat dock) and drains from front / top when motor is tilted, avoiding water retention.
Superior endcap design with a reinforced lower edge for protection from ramp damage or riverbed / lakebed dragging, and for better water / hydro streamlining.
Comes with a custom engineered low profile stainless steel Allen head machine bolt system for easy installation / removal / reuse. All bolts are knurled, enabling locking attributes for high vibration motors. Also included are two high tinsel strength 5/32" allen wrenches.
